Dr. Juan Dempere
Dr. Dempere received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela, 1998; an MBA from Schiller International University, 2000, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Florida Atlantic University, 2004. Dr. Dempere joined Metropolitan State College of Denver in the fall, 2005, to the Finance Department, School of Business. Dr. Dempere has taught Managerial Finance, Entrepreneurial Finance, Treasury and Working Capital Management, Personal Financial Planning, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, and Financial Statement Analysis. Dr. Dempere research areas include Initial Public Offerings, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, and the Banking Industry.
Dr. Dempere was elected president of the Latino Faculty and Staff Association in July 2007. Dr. Dempere was the founder of the Hispanic Serving Institution Task Force at Metro State. Dr. Dempere is currently a member of the Faculty Senate working on the Senate Faculty Welfare Committee and the Senate Faculty Diversity Committee.
