Speaker Kersten Hostetter, Executive Director for Microbusiness Development Corporation will be speaking on Social Entrepreneurship and Micro Loans. Micro Business Development (MBD), a Colorado non-profit organization, was founded in 1993 to eliminate barriers to economic independence for community entrepreneurs, both youth and adult, through access to markets, resources, and business capital. These underserved populations include, but are not limited to youth, entrepreneurs with disabilities, refugees, women, non-native speakers and individuals facing the challenges of poverty.
Speaker Professor P.K. Banerjea, Professor of Business Strategy, Ethics and Corporate Governance, ICFAI Business School, Pune, India, will be speaking on Social Entrepreneurship and Responsibility with his speech on "Innovations to Serve the Bottom of the Pyramid." Professor Banerjea presented this talk at the Global Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility held in Villamoura, Portugal in 2006.
Alumni Speed Networking, Wednesday evening Metro State Alumni are welcomed back to campus to meet and network with fellow alums. This event is for Alumni only.

The country's top entrepreneurs will be speaking to spread the entrepreneurial mindset. A myriad of activities are planned for the day and all Metro State students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Pre registration is suggested to hold your spot and be be found at www.extremetour.org listed under Metro State. Registration will be available the day of the event if space is available.
OppenheimerFunds is awarding a $500.00 cash prize to the top Metro State Student and Alumni for their Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The finalist will be honored during an award ceremony Thursday evening. Details about the contest and nomination form can be found at http://www.extremetour.org/nomination/mscd.doc. About the Film
The Call of the Entrepreneur tells the stories of three entrepreneurs:
- A failing dairy farmer in rural Evart, Michigan
- A merchant banker in New York City
- A refugee from Communist China
Reverend Robert Sirico, author of The Entrepreneurial Vocation, joins Michael Novak, George Gilder and other experts in exploring how entrepreneurs shape our world.
